For a patch test, you only need a small fraction of the henna powder from one capsule. Open a capsule gently, and pour out less than half a pea sized amount onto a small dish. Mix this small quantity with two drops of water to conduct your patch test. There's no need to prepare the full mixture at this stage because the henna can lose efficacy over time if left sitting. The remaining henna powder inside the capsule can be safely stored for your actual brow application once your patch test is successfully completed and shows no signs of irritation after 24 hours. This way, you can ensure that the henna mix you use for your brows is as potent as possible.

Store the remaining henna powder in its original capsule and keep it in a cool, dry place.

No, the henna powder won't oxidize or lose its effectiveness as long as it's kept properly. If the henna has been mixed with water it must be used immediately.

Don't worry! Immediately after the application, the color can appear darker than it actually is. The henna oxidizes and the color generally softens within 24 to 48 hours, giving you a more natural look.

If you accidentally get the paste on your skin, just wipe it off immediately with a damp cloth to prevent staining. But don't worry, any stain that might occur will usually wash off in a couple of days.

The longevity of the henna tint can vary depending on your skin type and skincare routine. On average, the tint will last on the skin for up to 1 week and on hair for up to 4 weeks. To maintain the tint, avoid using oil-based products on your brows, and minimize exfoliation in that area.

Yes, you can! We recommend not using oil-based products as they could affect the longevity of the tint. And if you notice that the tint seems uneven, you can certainly retouch your brows. You can reapply the henna to areas where you'd like more color, following the same process as before.

Yes, you can. However, it's recommended to wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup to allow the henna tint to fully develop. Also, keep in mind that frequent use of makeup and makeup removers might cause the henna tint to fade more quickly.

You can use our henna capsules as often as you need to maintain the desired brow color. Since the color typically lasts 3-4 weeks, many customers choose to reapply monthly.

So many reasons!

1. Brows lighten from the sun so the ends are lighter than the inner edges meaning that when you tint them, the full hair has color and definition

2. Years of over-tweezing leads to sparse brows, if you add color to them, they naturally will look fuller and cover up patchy areas

3. Finer hairs will be more pronounced when tinted, giving you a fuller looking brow. This is especially true for the very fine and non pigmented hairs at the start and end of your brows.

In order for the tint to properly penetrate your hair, it is important your eyebrows are thoroughly washed and not greasy at all. You can use  a toner or any non greasy facial wash. Dry your brows completely before applying Instant Tint.

INSTANT TINT stays on eyebrow hair for 3-7 days. Remember to always apply it on clean, non oily eyebrows. The lasting effect also depends on the individual's hair and skin type, as well as the daily beauty routine. (Example: heavy exfoliating might cause the tint to fade faster)

Frequency of tinting your eyebrows also changes depending on your hair type and lifestyle. If you have porous hair that absorbs color easily, you can expect to have the color last for up to a week. A rougher hair follicle may require more frequent tinting but can expect results to last a minimum of 2-3 days. If you are someone who does a lot of physical activity, sweats and showers often, you may also need to reapply our tint more frequently.

This is an individual matter - depending on your natural eyebrow color and skin. We suggest anytime between 5-10 minutes. About 10 minutes will deliver a bolder but still natural look. First time users can leave it on shorter, this way, if the color turns out lighter than you pictured it, you’ll still have the option to go darker ;) For those who want something stronger, it is safe to leave INSTANT TINT on for up to 20 minutes.

No :) Don't worry, INSTANT TINT delivers a very natural effect. The tint dyes your eyebrow hair and you can remove any excess from the skin easily with a wet cotton pad. Remember our formula is delicate and safe, and you can easily control the intensity with how long you keep it on.

You can safely apply INSTANT TINT regularly if you desire to maintain and enhance the color. Most people use tint weekly, or biweekly, but you could use it everyday (though it won't be necessary). Tinting is a very comfortable and natural looking alternative to applying makeup to brows, and shortening the makeup process ;)

The benefits of tinting include not only color but also tone and gloss. Many clients who use INSTANT TINT find that with tinted eyebrows they apply no to minimal makeup to their brows. Tinted eyebrows also enhance natural beauty and give the appearance of fuller brows. Fuller eyebrows look more youthful. Even dark brows, when tinted, look more defined. You can definitely still use INSTANT TINT on tattooed eyebrows, as it dyes the hair and will leave you with a more defined, three-dimensional, natural looking brow. Make sure to select the right color for your microbladed brows. We suggest trying the two tint bundles.

We feel ya, not everyone was blessed with super thick brows :)  If you tint your brow hairs they will become darker and your brows will be more defined. Some clients like to leave some tint on the skin for a fuller effect. For sparse brows we recommend using WHAT THE BROW Growth Serum to boost growth and condition eyebrows.

This can be tricky. Grey hair represents changes in our bodies. It’s totally natural for oil glands to slow down their production of sebum (our hair’s natural moisturizer) as we get older. Gray hair is difficult to tint because it tends to be more dry and brittle, which means that the dye takes a lot longer to penetrate them. We of course encourage you to try but we’ve had clients with varying results. We recommend trying WHAT THE BROW serum to nourish the brow hair,  to support and repair the colouring process.

It is a good idea to use an oily lotion or vaseline around the brows (avoiding touching the actual hairs to be tinted) to prevent surrounding skin from being tinted. If it does touch the skin, don't panic, it will wash off relatively easily. You can use some facial scrub to remove it faster.

We recommend tinting your brows before you get them shaped as you might find you have thicker brows than you expected and may want to widen your shape. We also recommend doing this in the evening so that any extra tint on the skin can be washed off at night and the next morning during your facial washing routine.

Our tint does not contain the harsh chemical known as PPD which is known to sometimes cause allergies however everyone reacts differently to cosmetic ingredients and it is important to always do a patch test before using any coloring product. To make sure you do not have an allergic reaction to Instant Tint , put a small amount of product inside your elbow, leave on for a minute and wipe off. If within 24 hours, no allergy develops, you should be OK to use the product on your eyebrows. If an allergy develops, immediately stop use, wash thoroughly and seek medical attention.
