For a patch test, you only need a small fraction of the henna powder from one capsule. Open a capsule gently, and pour out less than half a pea sized amount onto a small dish. Mix this small quantity with two drops of water to conduct your patch test. There's no need to prepare the full mixture at this stage because the henna can lose efficacy over time if left sitting. The remaining henna powder inside the capsule can be safely stored for your actual brow application once your patch test is successfully completed and shows no signs of irritation after 24 hours. This way, you can ensure that the henna mix you use for your brows is as potent as possible.
Store the remaining henna powder in its original capsule and keep it in a cool, dry place.
No, the henna powder won't oxidize or lose its effectiveness as long as it's kept properly. If the henna has been mixed with water it must be used immediately.
Our henna capsules are designed specifically for brow tinting. We don't recommend using them on your eyelashes without professional advice.
POST-APPLICATION
Don't worry! Immediately after the application, the color can appear darker than it actually is. The henna oxidizes and the color generally softens within 24 to 48 hours, giving you a more natural look.
If you accidentally get the paste on your skin, just wipe it off immediately with a damp cloth to prevent staining. But don't worry, any stain that might occur will usually wash off in a couple of days.
The longevity of the henna tint can vary depending on your skin type and skincare routine. On average, the tint will last on the skin for up to 1 week and on hair for up to 4 weeks. To maintain the tint, avoid using oil-based products on your brows, and minimize exfoliation in that area.
Yes, you can! We recommend not using oil-based products as they could affect the longevity of the tint. And if you notice that the tint seems uneven, you can certainly retouch your brows. You can reapply the henna to areas where you'd like more color, following the same process as before.
Absolutely! If you feel like the color has faded and you'd like to enhance it, feel free to reapply the henna tint. Be sure to follow the same application process to ensure the best results.
Yes, you can. However, it's recommended to wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup to allow the henna tint to fully develop. Also, keep in mind that frequent use of makeup and makeup removers might cause the henna tint to fade more quickly.
